通道 Tongdao ("we", "us") is a small business in the Greater Houston area. We help local businesses use AI. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit tongdao.ai or contact us. You can reach us at legal@tongdao.ai.

Information you give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number and the details in your messages. This can come from a contact or booking request, a partner sign-up, a newsletter signup, or a message you send us by email, chat or another channel. If a partner introduces you, they may give us your contact details so we can follow up.

Information collected automatically: basic usage and device information, such as the pages you view, your browser type, your approximate location, and your IP address.

We may use information to respond to you, schedule and deliver our services, run our partner program and credit introductions, send our newsletter and other updates you can opt out of, keep our website secure and working, understand how it is used and improve it, and meet legal requirements.

If you choose automatic attendance verification, we use your verified Google email address and account identifier to match you to your booked Mini Assessment. We compare the host’s and your attendance times to confirm at least ten minutes together. Verification grants no access to your contacts, personal calendar or other meetings. It is separate from signing into the partner portal.

Account verification expires after one year. We save a completion timestamp, shared attendance duration and meeting record reference. We do not request recordings, transcripts, chat or meeting notes for this feature. Partners can see completion and attendance evidence for their own introductions; authorized Tongdao administrators use the records to manage and correct progress. You may request correction or deletion at legal@tongdao.ai.

We may share information with service providers that help us run our website, scheduling, newsletter, and communications. They act on our behalf and may only use the information to help us. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale, merger or other change in our business.

We may use third-party tools, including AI-based tools, to help run our business, for example to answer messages, organize information and draft replies. Information you send us may be processed by these tools on our behalf. Please do not send sensitive information, such as financial account numbers, health details or passwords.

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies, including tools that measure website use, to make the site work, understand how it is used, and improve it. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you block them.

We keep inquiry messages and contact details for up to 2 years, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner by emailing legal@tongdao.ai. We keep other records for as long as we reasonably need them for the purposes described in this policy, and then delete them.

You can ask us to give you access to the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in our emails, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. To make a request, email legal@tongdao.ai. We may need to confirm who you are first.

We use reasonable measures to protect information. No method of sending or storing information is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site may link to other sites, such as booking pages, event pages and social or messaging platforms. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
